Plans and cancelling

What is free, and what is Bible+?

Free for everyone: the whole Bible, verse of the day, prayer, testimonies, church groups and the first Genesis stories. Everything is open for 7 days after a grown-up signs in, with no card needed.

After that, the optional Bible+ packs are monthly or yearly subscriptions through Apple:

Prices are in US dollars; Apple sets the price in your country. One purchase covers the family. In the app, the plans are in the grown-ups area: Profile, then Bible+.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so you cancel on the iPhone:

  1. Open Settings and tap your name (your Apple ID).
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then Rytopium Bible.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also tap Manage subscription on the Bible+ screen in the app, which opens the same Apple page. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to stop the next renewal; the pack stays open until the period ends. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

New phone, or the pack is not showing? Restore purchase

On the Bible+ screen (Profile, then Bible+), tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple ID that bought the pack. Restore and Manage subscription are shown to grown-ups only, never to children or teens.

The grown-ups gate and PIN

What is it?

The grown-ups gate keeps settings, purchases and anything that leaves the app away from small hands. To pass it you press and hold a circle for 3 seconds, then type the 4-number PIN a grown-up chose when setting up the child’s area. The PIN is kept only on that phone, as a scrambled code. It is never sent to us.

How do I get to it?

Then press and hold the circle until it fills, and type the PIN. Inside you will find the daily time limit, bedtime, sound and narrator, offline stories, the age group, the family and church code, and Change PIN.

How do I change the PIN?

Pass the gate, then under Child tap Change PIN. Type the current PIN, then the new one twice.

I forgot the PIN

Because the PIN never leaves the phone, we cannot see it or send it to you. To start again on that phone, delete the app and install it again, then set up the child’s area with a new PIN. This clears what that phone keeps for the app (the child’s name, settings and saved offline stories). Anything saved in a grown-up’s signed-in account comes back when you sign in again. If you are unsure, write to us first at support@rytopium.com.

Deleting an account

How do I delete my account?

  1. In the grown-ups area (18 and over), open Profile.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Tap Delete to confirm.

The phone needs to be online. If it is not, the app says so and keeps everything, so you can try again.

What gets deleted?

Your account and everything linked to it: your profile, notes, highlights, saved verses, streaks, badges, story progress, stickers, points, friends, family links and codes, prayers, testimonies, reading schedules and video submissions. The app also clears everything it keeps on that phone. This cannot be undone.

A linked child keeps their own account; only the link to yours is removed. To delete a child’s data, write to us at support@rytopium.com, or remove the app from the child’s phone. In a child’s area, Start again as a new user (behind the grown-ups gate) clears that phone’s profile.

Deleting an account does not cancel a Bible+ subscription: cancel it in iPhone Settings as above. You can also ask us to delete your data by email.
