Terms of use
Last updated: 2 November 2026
These terms are between you and Rytopium Industries [Ryan: legal name and ABN], Australia ("we", "us"), for the Rytopium Bible app and web app ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. If a child uses the app, the parent or carer who set it up agrees for them.
1. The app
Rytopium Bible is a Bible app for families: Picture Bible stories, games and lessons for children, and a reading Bible, devotions and a kind community for teens and grown-ups. Parts of it are free; Bible+ packs open more (section 4).
2. Who can use it
- Anyone can use the app. Children's areas are set up by a parent or carer, who passes the grown-up check and sets a PIN. Parents and carers are responsible for how their children use the app and for keeping the PIN private.
- To post on the prayer wall or share a testimony you must be 13 or over.
- Grown-up accounts are for people 18 and over. Keep your email account safe: the sign-in code goes there.
3. Being kind
When you post, reply or share in the app you agree not to post anything unkind, hateful, sexual, violent, unlawful, or anyone's personal details, and not to pretend to be someone else or ask anyone to meet. Posts are checked (by a kindness filter and by people) and we may hide or remove anything, or close an account, that breaks these rules. Report a post with the report button or at support@rytopium.com.
What you post stays yours. You let us show it in the app, without your name, for as long as it is up. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
4. Bible+ packs and the 7-day trial
- After a grown-up first signs in, everything is open for 7 days. No card is needed, and nothing is charged when the trial ends; the app goes back to the free version unless you choose a pack.
- Packs: Kids pack and Grown-ups pack (US$0.99 a month or US$8.99 a year each) and Everything (US$1.99 a month or US$14.99 a year). Prices in other countries are set by Apple and shown before you buy.
- Packs are auto-renewing subscriptions bought through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings, or in the app at Bible+ > Manage subscription.
- One pack covers the household: the grown-up's account and the children linked to it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Children never see prices; buying always goes through the grown-up gate.
5. The Explainer (AI)
The Explainer answers questions with an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and shows the Bible verses it used. It can be wrong. It is not a pastor, counsellor, doctor or emergency service. If someone is in danger, call 000 in Australia (911 in the U.S.) or a helpline such as Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800 or Lifeline 13 11 14. Daily question limits apply.
6. Bible text and content
Bible translations in the app are public domain or used under their licences (Berean Standard Bible, King James Version, World English Bible, American Standard Version, Bible in Basic English). The stories, pictures, videos, music and games are ours or licensed to us; you may use them in the app for personal and church use, but not copy or sell them.
7. Things you must not do
Do not break, overload or try to get around the app's limits or security, copy it, or use it to send spam or harm anyone.
8. Changes and ending
We may change, add or remove features. We may update these terms; for important changes we tell grown-ups in the app first. You can stop at any time and delete your account in Profile > Delete account.
9. Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and any rights that cannot be excluded where you live, stay as they are.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also agree to Apple's Media Services Terms when you download the app.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of [Ryan: state], Australia.
